Jabalpur – Kanha National Park – Bandhavgarh National Park – Pench National Park – Nagpur

After arriving at Jabalpur Station, we will go for Kanha National Park, upon reaching Kanha National Park check in at your resort, rest of the day will be free for leisure. The park is also recognized as Kanha Tiger Reserve, covering a vast green land and forest area in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh Tourism. Tigers, Jackals and Wild Pigs are found in the shades of Kanha park. The watering holes of Sondar Tank and Babathenga Tank are often gathered by the animals. In the kanha museum, the flora and fauna of the park has been documented. Today, the Kanha National Park has been divided into two sanctuaries namely “Hallon” and “Banjar. Amongst top 10 famous tourists places, Kanha Tiger reserve is the one. It is also said that this park is an inspiration of the film “The Jungle Book“. The diverse population of the park includes the Tigers, Indian Leopards, Sloth Bears, Barasingha and Indian Wild Dogs. It is also rewarded as a first national park to introduce Barasingha. So it becomes a piece of attraction for the tourists to visit the park and take the advantage of the diversity there. Kanha’s sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendour which form the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974 under Project Tiger. This was the park that the Central Indian Barasingha, also known as the hardground barasingha, was brought back from the virtual edge of extinction. By a special statute in 1955, Kanha National Park came into being. Since then, a series of stringent conservation programmes for the protection of the park’s flora and fauna has given Kanha its deserved reputation for being one of the finest and best administered National Parks in Asia, an irresistible attraction for all wildlife lovers and a true haven for its animal and avian population. Next morning, we will go for Jeep Safari in kanha National Park and overnight stay  at kanha National Park. Next morning, we will transfer from Kanha National Park to Bandhavgarh National Park Bandhavgarh was declared a National Park in 1968Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the district named Umaria in Madhya Pradesh. The name Bandhavgarh is derived from a Sanskrit language which means “Brother’s fort“.This is a Biodiverse park as it has the highest population of the royal Bengal Tigers in India. The diversity of the park not only include tigers but also other animals like White Tigers, Leopards, Chargers and Deer. This park is also a home to many bird species including Eagles. But the day to day rise in mining activities is being a great danger to the Tiger in the park. Other than these, the species that densely populate the park include Sambar, Barking deer, Nilgai, Chital , Hyna etc. Bandhavgarh Prior to becoming a National park, the forest around Bandhavgarh had long been maintained as a Shikargah, or game preserve, of the Maharajahs of Rewa. Hunting was carried out by the Maharajahs and their guests – otherwise the wildlife was relatively well-protected. It was considered a good omen for a Maharajah of Rewa to shoot 109 Tigers. His highness Maharajah Venkat Raman Singh shot 111 Tigers by 1914. Next morning, we will transfer from Bandhavgarh National Park to Pench National Park . Pench National Park is in Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh in India. It derives its name from the Pench River that flows through the park from north to south dividing the park into almost equal western and eastern halves, It was declared a sanctuary in 1977 but raised to the status of national park in 1983. In 1992, it was established as a tiger reserve. The park is famous for rafting. In 2011, the park won the “Best Management Award“… READ MORE

Our trip was very memorable . Kudos to Mr.Kaisar and Mr. Dhananjay for presenting an itinerary which seemed tailor made for us.Further , both kanha and bandhavgarh national parks gave us fond memories , however a sour experience at pench . The TIGER N WOODS RESORT given to us had nice rooms but the staff were totally unfriendly .The packed breakfast also seemed insufficient . Not even water was provided to us , leave alone welcome drink. The hotel manager /owner Mr.Aditya also seemed extremely uninterested in listening to our complaints , instead he was more focussed on honing his english skills with foreign tourists.Special mentions to Mr.Dhanjay who helped us a lot even at that time of the night .Also the guides throughout were fantastic. Keep up the good work , all the best 🙂 If visiting bandhavgarh , stay at bandhavgarh meadows , awesome experience , hospitality , food and rooms.Gives you the forest feel completely and also the manager Mr.Mahendra out there is very helpful and friendly and they too have a naturalist to help you out .With regards to Kanha , Mahua resort is also very nice and the food offered to us was very nicely done .In both places , the packed breakfast given during safaris are so neatly packed and presented . NOTE: If visiting Pench National park , pls stay away from TIGER N WOODS RESORT – totally unfriendly and hostile towards guests and bad environment .In presence of foreign tourists , you are nowhere attended to.
